Inspite of the Governor Cuomo's stalling NG development in NY the need for our local coalitions and leaders has never been stronger. We need our groups to communicate and advocate strongly about NG. In PA we have witnessed the success of strongly united groups, and the pitfalls of not having groups, as NG development has spread across the state.
One PA group, the Friendsville Group, successfully negotiated a protective and rewarding lease in 2009 and then disbanded. Having experience problems since disbanding the group has decided to reform to represent landowners and their concerns. For more details on this important development please refer to the following link to an article on the JLCNY website...

To help raise funds for the JLCNY Ron Phillips, on Oakdale Rd. in Johnson City, is collecting scrap metal (Steel, Aluminum, Stainless steel, Copper, Batteries, Motors, Wire ). He cannot take anything that contains Freon such as refrigerators, air conditioning units or dehumidifiers. The cost or removing the Freon is more than the scrap value. So if you have scrap metal, please deliver it to Ron. If you cannot deliver it to 1200 Oakdale Rd. Johnson City, call Ron to arrange for a pickup (607-797-0815).
Once again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone for your support and efforts.
Warm Regards,
Dan Fitzsimmons, President
