Hello ,
President Obama will be in Cooperstown, NY on Thursday May 22! Just like last August when he swung through Syracuse, Binghamton, and Scranton it is critical that landowners and Natural Gas supporters show up to let President Obama know that NY lacks his leadership on energy matters and the rights and benefits being enjoyed throughout the rest of America are STILL being denied to NY citizens! The details that we know right now are as follows... WHEN: Thursday, May 22, at some point between morning and mid-day. The exact time will be distributed soon, so save the date and plan to be there early. WHERE: Cooperstown, outside of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, 25 Main St., Cooperstown, NY. WHO: President Obama and Concerned Natural Gas Supporters and Landowners who's rights and benefits are being denied. In other words - YOU!!! We highly recommend that you bring some lunch and snacks, refreshing drinks, comfortable weather appropriate clothes and foot wear, and your signs of support for your rights to safely and responsibly develop Natural Gas and to enjoy its benefits just like everyone else in America! It has been reported that President Obama is coming to the Baseball Hall of Fame to promote tourism. While tourism is important and beneficial to our areas, NG development will make NY tourism more affordable by virtue of providing tourism based businesses with cheaper, cleaner energy, and our rights and the benefits of NG development deserve the same promotion as tourism. Nowhere is it more important to convey that message than in Cooperstown where the local municipalities have illegally BANNED NG development, stripped landowners of their rights, and denied the community and tourism based businesses of the benefits that NG development will bring. Please keep in mind that it's important that we rally because Obama's support for NG development has been an example of the energy issue leadership that we are asking for in NY. We know that NG development promotes jobs and business, energy independence, cleaner air and water, and supports renewable energy development. Yet NY remains on the sidelines denying landowners and communities their rights and opportunities to take part in America's Energy Revolution while our leadership ignores the issue under the advice of irrelevant celebrities and to the delight of foreign adversaries. Please share this notice with any and all NG supporters and be sure to keep watch for important details that will be sent out in the next few hours and days! Thanks once again for showing your support for safe and responsible Natural Gas development in NY. Warm Regards, Dan Fitzsimmons, President Joint Landowners Coalition of New York, Inc. DF/brc
