Statement From Molinaro for Governor
Spokeswoman Katherine Delgado on June Siena Poll Results

June 13, 2018

"On the eve of yet another explosive corruption trial, we are extremely encouraged by today's Siena Poll putting us at 37 percent against Governor Andrew Cuomo -- 16 points higher than the Republican candidate for governor stood in June 2014. (That candidate ultimately received 41 percent of the vote in the 2014 general election and won 46 out of 62 counties against a then first-term governor.)

"We are ahead of the marks we set for ourselves at this point in the campaign, but well recognize that there is a great deal of work to be done to inform voters about Marc Molinaro's inclusive style of governance and his bold vision for 'Triple A Government' in New York -- Accountable, Affordable, and Accessible government.

"We are especially pleased at how well we are competing among independent voters. We are running neck-and-neck with the incumbent six months out (Cuomo 44 - Molinaro 40. Margin of error: 3.7%)

"We are disappointed Siena didn't acknowledge the real potential of a three or four-way race, which would have shrunk Cuomo's margins even further, but we suspect like so many in this state, they didn't want a threatening call from the Governor himself or his aides."
"It is obvious that Andrew Cuomo's catastrophic economic failures and deeply corrupt governance are finally catching up to him. Voters want an alternative they can trust, and that candidate is Marc Molinaro."

"In the coming days look for more attacks, threats, lies and dirty politics from Andrew Cuomo and his campaign as he starts to feel his dictatorial grasp on Albany slip away and his dreams of running for President with it."
