Still Waiting... *Crickets*

CUOMO SILENT ON $300,000
CENTRAL NEW YORK FILM HUB DONATION

Why Won't He Return Money?

"It's a simple matter of right and wrong: How can Mr. Cuomo keep the money in good conscience after blowing $15 million in taxpayer funds?"

New York--June 5...New York Governor Andrew Cuomo refused to respond to a request Monday that he return $300,000 in political donations given to him by people involved in the never-realized Central New York Film Hub project, which cost New York taxpayers $15 million.

Mr. Cuomo used $15 million in taxpayer dollars to construct a 52,000-square-foot facility outside of Syracuse beginning in 2014, claiming it would provide "at least" 350 new high-tech jobs." Only two full-time jobs were ever created, and the building was sold last Friday for $1 -- a $14,999,999.00 taxpayer loss. Individuals and entities involved in the project reportedly donated at least $300,000 to Mr. Cuomo. Several of those donors are now facing federal corruption charges.

"Marc Molinaro rightly called on Mr. Cuomo on Monday to return the $300,000 in donations he was handed by parties with interest in this failed project," said Molinaro for New York spokeswoman Katherine DelGado. "It's a simple matter of right and wrong: How can Mr. Cuomo keep the money in good conscience after blowing $15 million in taxpayer funds? We again urge the governor to do the right thing and return the $300,000, preferably to the taxpayers through a donation to the state's General Fund."

Mr. Molinaro, the Dutchess County Executive and the 2018 Republican candidate for governor, has pledged to outlaw pay-for-play donations in Albany as governor.

Governor Cuomo has handed out billions of dollars worth of state grants and tax breaks to individuals and entities that have donated millions of dollars to his political campaigns.
